I am KYT, a professional tattoo artist born and raised in Germany. Western society has always felt familiar to me. However, growing up, I never truly felt accepted—neither here nor in my country of origin. To express the emotions I couldn’t communicate outwardly, I turned to drawing as a creative outlet.

As I explored different forms of self-expression, tattooing soon followed. It felt like something outside the norm, meant for those who didn’t quite fit in and that only strengthened my desire to pursue this dream. Many people doubted that I could turn it into a career, but I was determined to prove otherwise. After years of dedication, I finally began my professional tattooing career in 2021.

 

Coming from an Asian household but being far removed from my parents’ culture, my curiosity about East Asian traditions grew over time. I was fortunate to travel to Asia at an early age, allowing me to collect fragments of these cultures that now form the foundation of my inspiration. 

 

My goal is to blend Western and Eastern influences through blackwork tattooing, incorporating traditional Eastern motifs. I see tattooing as a deep commitment and responsibility—not just for the client but for me as an artist. It is a form of communication, built on trust, that extends beyond the moment of the tattoo and even last longer than a lifetime.

For large-scale tattoos, my process always includes a consultation. Together, we create a concept and check the flow on the body to ensure the best possible result.
